UI Post-UTME Cut-Off Marks by Department [2025 Updated]
Complete list of University of Ibadan Post-UTME cut-off marks by department and course. Aggregate score requirements and admission criteria. Updated with real 2025/2026 data.
How UI Cut-Off Marks Work
The University of Ibadan does not publish a single 'pass mark' for the Post-UTME. Instead, admission is based on an aggregate score calculated as: (JAMB Score ÷ 8) + (Post-UTME Score ÷ 2). The maximum possible aggregate is 100 (400/8 + 100/2 = 50 + 50).
Important: O'Level results are NOT used in the aggregate calculation. They are only a prerequisite — you must have at least 5 credit passes in relevant subjects (including English and Mathematics) to be eligible. For College of Medicine and Pharmacy, these credits must be in one sitting.
The aggregate cut-off varies by department and is determined after all candidates have been screened. Highly competitive courses have higher effective cut-offs because more qualified candidates apply.

How to Maximize Your Aggregate Score
Since your aggregate is (JAMB/8) + (Post-UTME/2), the Post-UTME carries EQUAL weight to JAMB — both contribute a maximum of 50 points each. This means a strong Post-UTME performance can fully compensate for a moderate JAMB score.
Example: A candidate with JAMB 280 (280/8 = 35) who scores 80 in Post-UTME (80/2 = 40) gets aggregate 75. A candidate with JAMB 350 (350/8 = 43.75) who scores 60 in Post-UTME (60/2 = 30) gets aggregate 73.75. The lower JAMB scorer wins because they prepared better for the Post-UTME.
